Summer Spin

Oh the joys of basking in the summer sun.

Can you believe I've had this dress since I was 14?! Time flies!
Summer is when I still feel like a child, water fights, barbecues and bubblegum ice lollies? Summer is my favourite season.

Summer also means I can wear fuss free clothing that makes me feel fabulous without having to cover them up with layers, which is a weakness of mine, layering -.-

OOTD: Shades of Grey

Oh London! How dark and dull could you be! Jackets are still out and the umbrellas are up everywhere, I feel that we won't have a summer at all! Luckily, I'm off to California in a few weeks but in the meantime I will be basking in London's non-existent sun. It sucks because I can't enjoy going to Wimbledon without being paranoid of raindrops.

I also found a more efficient way to do my OOTD posts because I always forget to do them when I'm out and about, so I shall do them before or after I go out in the comfort of my own bedroom. Yay~

The weather has been touch and go recently and today it's rainy and grey, it's not really jacket weather but it's also not shorts weather. It's just right.

I love this jumper soo much, the embroidery is a nice touch and is perfectly baggy without swamping and making your body shapeless.
Also, it's on sale right now at Pull and Bear for £12.99

OOTD: Hello Spring!

We've been ghosting for quite a while haven't we? With textiles coursework done and dusted, we're currently studying for our summer exams. We should be posting more soon. But in the meantime, I thought it'll be nice to post an outfit of the day post since the last one involved lots of layers. Now that the weather is finally looking up, the thick coats and fur hats can go! (YAY!)

OOTD: GO AWAY, WINTER!

I think we can all agree that we want Spring to hurry its bum bum up! As Rianna pointed out a few days ago, the cold isn't the problem, its the timing. I mean come on, its almost the end of March! So today's outfit involves lots of layering. Which I detest. But here we go.

Clearly, I was having a bit too much fun swinging my satchel around today.

F.A.D: Week 8 and OOTD

Today was a lot of hard work, paper patterns needed to be finalised, fabric had to be cut, construction for our toiles had to begin and our prints were finally dry and ready in all their glory.

I only just realised that my waistcoat ended up being a dress as someone from the team misunderstood my drawings and thought it was a dress, still it would make a kickass dress, despite its length -sigh-

So here are our prints from the print workshop during the holidays which I forgot to post about.. forgive me.

All the pictures above was from our screen print exercise and below is our friend Rachel's beautiful work which was created through ink and foil printing.

To finish, here are our outfits of the day!

(Rianna wasn't too enthusiastic by my picture taking, as you can see. hmmph)

F.A.D Week #3

Today we tackled the industrial machines! Apart from almost burning our hands with the iron, we did a pretty good job today. Funny how our college is dubbed a "Technology College" but we have pretty basic sewing machines. I personally like the speed and the power of an industrial machine. But remember, be aware! Those machines are a beast! We also did some "speed designing" work which made me realise that I work best when I don't think too much about what I'm designing, the ideas just come out.

After that we had what Rianna deems the best sandwich in the world at a Vietnamese cafe opposite Hackney College. Banh Mi and Bubble Tea- that is the life.

Here is a quick recap of our outfits for today~

If only I could wear these boots to school. I love them so much.

My super quick drawings:

And my developed idea from one of my quick drawings.

OOTD: What uniform?

One thing I must say I like about going to sixth form is how I can play about with the uniform. Whilst it may be compulsory to wear blazers, since October I haven't worn mine at all. I like to play about with jumpers, skater skirts in different fabrics and different kinds of ankle boots. So here was my school outfit for today:

P.S: Our blog has just reached over 30,000 views OMG!

Thanks for stopping by today!

OOTD: Thank God for Bibimbap.

I HAVEN'T SEEN RIANNA IN TWO WEEKS HELP.
This is what the holidays  revision does to us. It tears us apart.

Today we went out to celebrate our friend's birthday and went down to eat at Bibimbap down in Soho. Which btw is a very very cute and cheap restaurant that will fill you up well. Actually most Korean restaurants do, but the fact I had a food baby after half a bowl of bibimbap was surprising.

So here are our outfits for today:

OOTD: Killing the Blues

Our outfits today matched our moods I guess. Rianna rocked the blue hues because 1) Its absolutely freezing and 2) we haven't been having much sleep due to the amount of pain we suffer from writing endless English essays.

D.I.Y dip dyed plaid shirt, Resale Coat, Vintage Leather Jacket and Marc Jacobs Bag.

Today I rocked out stripes, skater skirts and tattoo tights. Bring out the guns, or legs I should say.

H&M Leather Jacket and Striped Tee, Machine Gun print tights, Zara Skater Skirt and Primark Ankle Boots and scarf.
