DIY: Fringed Scarf

As winter approaches I have decided to not make the same mistake I did last year and prepare too late. So to set my self up I made a fringed scarf out of a T-shirt. I think this may be the easiest DIY we will ever do.

So here is how to do it.

All you need is an old or new T-shirt in what ever colour you may like. Mine is new, I got it from Primark for £2.50 in the mens section. You will need a pair of scissors and if you want to, tailors chalk to help mark some lines.

1) The first step is to lay out the shirt and to cut it straight across about 3cm under the sleeves. If you are using tailors chalk you can just draw the line. The part that we will use is the bottom part of the shirt.

2) Starting from which ever end you find preferable you cut a straight line from one edge, with both the back and the front togther. This line should go up to half way from the other end. Leaving about 2cm apart, cut another straight line and continue to do this until you reach the end.
 3) It should start to look like this. The lines don't have to be perfect as the edges of them will eventually roll. Continue to do this until you reach he other end. Remember cut only half way up.
4) This should be how it looks like when you have finished cutting.

4) And there you have it a fringed scarf to put around your neck in the winter.
