F.A.D Week #2

Oh we had so much fun. This week we had a dab at life figure drawing and draping. Honestly the best art lesson I've ever experienced since I started high school, we were experimenting with charcoal, inks, pastels and tissue paper. It was just good messy fun. For the second half of this week's session we experimented with fabric and how it drapes, so with the help of a few designers we thought of many ways to manipulate fabric to add fullness to the structure of a garment. Saturdays are fun now :D

OOTD: What uniform?

One thing I must say I like about going to sixth form is how I can play about with the uniform. Whilst it may be compulsory to wear blazers, since October I haven't worn mine at all. I like to play about with jumpers, skater skirts in different fabrics and different kinds of ankle boots. So here was my school outfit for today:

F.A.D: Finally!

Yaaaaaay we're so happy to have finally started the F.A.D Fashion Futures course, we just came back from our research day and we are just zonked. I missed my train stop on the way back home because I slept. Hopefully that won't happen in future sessions but today was just a really long day at the V&A.

Above are our shitty attempts at drawing Christian Dior Necklaces. Rianna's one is on the right and looks soo much neater than mine -sigh-

They also had a Lolita display in the V&A- Am I kawaii yet?

Style Crush: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen

The Olsen Twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley are no strangers to the fashion scene. With many fashion brand lines under there name and both with there own unique style, it's no surprise that they are our style crush. Mary-Kate and Ashley is known for her distinctive bohemian/dumpster chic look which they made popular with natural tussled hair and boho layers.

The Olsen Twins display their own style in there many design labels such as 'The Row', a couture brand, which is named after Savile Row in London; Elizabeth and James which is a contemporary collection named after there siblings. They have a clothing line for 4-14 year olds in Wal-Marts all across North America. They have released a clothing line for J.C penny and a T-Shirt line called 'StyleMint.' There accomplishments in the fashion industry and as business women is endless and impressive.

OOTD: Thank God for Bibimbap.

I HAVEN'T SEEN RIANNA IN TWO WEEKS HELP.

This is what the holidays  revision does to us. It tears us apart. 

Today we went out to celebrate our friend's birthday and went down to eat at Bibimbap down in Soho. Which btw is a very very cute and cheap restaurant that will fill you up well. Actually most Korean restaurants do, but the fact I had a food baby after half a bowl of bibimbap was surprising.
