eBay finds #3

So the other day I was wondering though eBay helping my Mum to find cooking utensils and I got a bit side tracked and found a cool pair of ear studs.

As soon as I saw these, I had to get them and so I did for £1.57 on eBay.

For £1.57 I am very happy >.<

Street Snaps: Chinatown

Today our goal was to buy stationery for the upcoming school term but we just found a few extremely cool people who kindly let us take pictures of their outfits today.

These two girls are from Japan and they were so sweet that I have somehow grown attached to them. Yet I didn't ask for their name. Their outfits were so cute, I like how the girl on the left is working those dungarees.
Thankfully she stopped for us even though she was rushing, her casual outfit was still a stand-out from the crowd.

We saw these two girls filming a dance cover for our favourite song right now (I Love You- 2NE1) and the girls were rocking it! So we obviously had to get a picture of these two ladies. We really should get ourselves one of those sweatshirts. And of course with anything involving 2NE1, there has to be a Jeremy Scott item in the outfit.
Her outfit was adorableeee. I love everything about it from the dress to the pearls that decorated the jacket's collar.

Oh and here are outfits for the day:

Love or Loathe: Dara's Teddy Bear pants.

Melissa: That shit cray. As much as I love 2NE1, I sometimes have to step back and just look at what they are wearing. Now for us normal folk we would look damn nuts wearing these outfits but 2NE1 always has the charisma to pull it off. Despite their overflowing charisma, those pants are not cool.

I also feel sorry for Dara and the odd outfits she's been made to wear despite being the "face" of the group. Ladies, just because these items have been made by Jeremy Scott does not mean you have to wear them. I mean I bet Dara has struggled to get into those pants. Aigoo~

Rianna: When I found out that Jeremy Scott is going to be the designer for 2NE1 clothes for their global world tour 'New Evolution'. My First thought was 'this is either going to be really good or really crazy.' So it seems that he has opted for the crazy.

Those trousers just to much teddy bear for me. even though I dislike these bottoms we cannot deny that Jeremy Scott  is a designing genius.

Melissa: There are other times where Dara looks completely fabulous and I have to praise the stylists for putting her in Robert Cavalli during the "I Love You" promotions.

Also check out their interview with Billboard in NYC in which they (mainly CL) talk about their first world tour and their song "I Love You". Hopefully they'll stop over in London so Rianna and I can go watch them!

Style Crush: Iggy Azalea

Oh Iggy, how I love thee. Australian-born rapper Iggy Azalea has been catching my eye lately after hearing her song "My World" last year. What struck me the most is how beautiful she is, from watching her interviews her voice is so mellow but when she starts rapping she just rips a new one into you. She has recently signed with Wilhelmina Models International Inc. Iggy will be walking in September's New York Fashion Week.

You can download her EP "Glory" for free on her website: http://www.iggyazalea.com/ I suggest you listen to Glory and Murda Bizness. The video for "Murda Biznezz" can be seen below. She looks great right? Right?!
She is also the cover girl for the next issue of the French magazine Flavor. Get in that thang!

eBay finds #2

I've been seeing a lot of the spiked headbands around the K-popsphere lately, not only in music videos but also in Korean dramas.

After seeing a lot of these on K-pop idols I decided to search for this hot new accessory, oddly enough I didn't find it straight away through YesStyle.co.uk despite it being an online store for Korean fashion (they do sell these headbands now for £7.00).
Topshop also sold a similar style of the spiked headbands I was looking for. It is currently £12.50
But hey, look what arrived today:

For £1.75, happy Melissa is happy.

eBay finds #1

Look what came through the post! This was one of those things I found during my late night eBay browsing sessions which leads to me buying random stuff. I should probably stop buying stuff off eBay for the sake of my bank account...and it was only £1.09 + Free P&P.

If my bank account had a face it'd probably look like this: ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)

The earring is cool right? RIGHT?

Here's another look of the badass earring.

-sigh- Thank the heavens for eBay.

Back to School: Our Top 5 Bags

School is coming up round the corner and this term, snap up a bag with practicality AND style.
Here are our top 5 picks:

Tabitha Stud & Skull Embossed Bag, boohoo.com (£30)

Melissa: I sooooo want this bag for the upcoming term. What's great is that the skull pattern is never out of date. Another thing I love is that the straps are detachable so it can be a cross-body bag, a backpack or just pretty satchel. 3-looks-in-1 sorted. Another bonus is the scarf that comes with it, score. In terms of practicality I would give this a 5/5 because I like my bags with lots of compartments and zips since my school skirt doesn't have pockets, it also won't get dirty easily due to the external fabric.

Rianna: I'm in love with this bag for school for 2 reasons. One is the size, it has become increasingly popular that people will get bags that are too small for there books just to have a fashion savy bag. But the size of this bag leaves plenty of room for the books and the paper and the pens and the planner and the useless news letters home. Secondly the design. The embossed skull is such a cool way to add some punk in to you uniform especially if you have some many limitations on the uniform like Melissa and I do. This bag is totally a 5/5.
River Island Beige Mix Fabric Tote Bag £45.00

Rianna: Now this bag is simple yet fashion forward. The alligator print gives it an edge. It is everything about less is more and that's what makes it perfect for school. We all have one teacher that wants to state their opinion or that is overly strict on what colours are allowed and this bag will give you the upper hand. Not only will they have nothing to say but this bag will go well with any uniform. And if this bag could be even more perfect it has a strap giving it a 2 in 1 look. This bag is a 5/5 for me.

Melissa: I'm more of a backpack person, but I really like this, it's simple, elegant, and will not be sitting at my teacher's office looking sad and unused like Rianna said. However it's just not my style 4/5
Hello Kitty Print Handbag, Artbox (£34)
Melissa: Bring on the kawaii (japanese for cute) this term with Hello Kitty as your arm candy! Despite its cuteness I just have to say that I'd hate this bag for not having any internal pockets. It does fit your books however and because it's Hello Kitty and its kawaii, I want it.

Rianna: This Hello Kitty bag is cute and it is a great size for school. The Little pocket at the front is really handy for placing your oyster card. Even though I find this cute I'm not that in to cartoons on my bag, I buy them but never use them. This is a 4/5 for me.

Yes Style, Fashion Lady, Faux Leather Back pack £19.80

Rianna: I love backpacks for school, especially when you have the days when you need to bring in all the heavy books. This bag is perfect for that. Not only is is simple and cute but it has a lot of pockets to place the little things like oyster card and that small tin of Vaseline. I rate this a 5/5 ^_^.
Melissa: Ah YesStyle, how I love thee and your vast bag catalogue. I get quite a lot of my bags from yesstyle because they are usually pretty cheap and chic. Also hurrah for pockets! Nice choice, Rianna ^_^
Batman Hobo Bag, Hot Topic ($19.50/£12.45)

Melissa: Our last choice is this Batman bag from Hot Topic. One of my pet peeves is the lack of Hot Topic  shops in the UK. Luckily, they do ship to the UK so I'm not that deprived of stuff from Hot Topic. Why did we choose this bag? Well...it has the Batman logo on it, of course we'll choose it. If you're also a fan of the caped crusader like us, this is a must.

Rianna: Anything that has Batman on it is a must for me. This bag will give the laid back vibe to people in school which is a good thing, you never want to look to stressed out at school. It bag is a must have for any one who is a fan of the masked vigilante. 5/5 all the way.

DIY SKULL CUT-OUT TEE

So today I decided to cut up an old t-shirt up or else it would go in the bin. So here's a little step by step of how to get this:

Here's what you need:
A t-shirt that should be quite loose, fabric scissors and a white crayon or chalk.
So here I drew the outline of what I should cut. I used the template below:

One great thing about doing this is that you don't need to be neat so snip away!

ET VOILA!

Primark Finds #1

Look what Rianna got!

"Love ring set" £2.50

Love or Loathe: Miley's new hair.

Melissa: I love it actually, I mean not many people can rock a short hairdo and Miley's rockin' it and you're all just jealous. Despite her photos of her new do' looking as if she forgot to brush her hair, at other times it looks pretty decent so kudos to you Miley for doing your thang. I'm a person who's had her hair short many a time and trust me it is the easiest hair to work with...Looking at Miley, I kinda want to head for the hairdresser's now.

Rianna: I find Miley's short pixie do to be cute. It is unique and you can never insult some one for doing their own style. But no matter how much I find this hair style to be adorable, I can't help but be remembered of Boris Johnson (Lomdon Mayor). But there is a simple solution for me, just make the dye the hair darker. But having made the comparison...I still love love the hair style.
