D.I.Y: Bye-Bye Acne Honey and Oatmeal face mask.

Here's a little secret for stress free, smooth skin. Instead of raiding your local LUSH shop for organic facial masks, why not do it at home? There are so many home remedies you can use for stopping redness, spots, dehydrated skin, why not take advantage of it?

I've always used the combination of honey and oatmeal because my skin was prone to rashes and redness as well as annoying spots on my forehead. Honey is an excellent moisturiser and it also contains anti-bacterial properties. I either use oatmeal as it exfoliates as well as calms and soothes my skin. Alternatively you can use a bit of cinammon to exfoliate and dry out acne, however I realised that my skin becomes plump and firm  as if I just had botox because it brings blood and oxygen to the surface of the skin.

So lets begin!
First tie up your hair because the most annoying thing to happen is have oats stuck on your hair.
Prior to beautyfying, you should place a warm cloth to your face to open up your pores and to allow the honey to penetrate the skin further.
You'll need some honey and a handful of oats.
I use manuka honey as it is known for its anti bacterial and anti inflammatory properties. Also because I got it for a penny at the Holland & Barrett sale..
So squish your handful of oats really tightly and pass over warm water.
Drain all the liquid out of the oats and add to a bowl with a teaspoon of honey.
Mix until it into a paste consistency
And apply all over the face.
Leave on for ten minutes and rinse with cold water to close up the pores.

And you're done!

I would say that the pros of using this face mask is it's really easy to make and it can be done in a flash. The only con would be how extremely messy it is, also because it smells so delicious, I'm tempted to stick out my tongue and eat it but no, I have to resist! One thing I can assure you, after two months of using this every week, your acne should clear up~

Style Crush: Gwen Stefani

Can you believe Gwen Stefani is 43. FORTY-THREE. I wish I'll look that good when I turn 43. Did you all see her on the X-Factor? She looked brilliant.
Ever since her days in No Doubt, Gwen has made her own stage costumes and has had the fashion line "L.A.M.B" running since 2003 which takes influence from Guatemalan, Japanese and Jamaican styles.
After a decade since their last album, No Doubt is back with their latest album "Push and Shove". Sadly the newly released video for "Looking Hot" (In which Gwen really did..look hot) was pulled due to comments about its insensitivity.
Hopefully No Doubt fans will get a revamped video with more gorgeousness galore.
1996: Gwen in No Doubt's "Don't Speak"
2004: Performing "Hollaback Girl"- Don't deny this was your jam back then (it still is for me)
These dresses from the video for "What you waiting for?" were amazing~
2012: Before the video for "Looking Hot" got pulled down...Gwen was literally looking hot.

So here's a little treat:

#SIDE-NOTE: I may or may not have had a mental breakdown over the sound because it kept getting out of sync on youtube so I just uploaded the video from my phone. I don't know how to fix it and its really bugging me and its distracting and urghhh. weeeelllpp.

Style Crush: Dakota Fanning

Now if there is anyone who can keep it cool and casual it is Miss Dakota Fanning. But having a casual style doesn't stop her from being a scarlet on the red carpet. As if she already hasn't got a long enough list of achievements already, fashion has most definitely been added to it.  In 2010 she became the new face of IMG models, one of the biggest and most recognised agencies in the world. She was also the face for Marc Jacobs 'Oh Lola' Perfume. And as if she would let is stop there, She has  been featured in countless magazines. To be honest the pictures below says it all about how amazing her style is.
